Open Faced Speck-Smoked Prosciutto Caprese Sandwich

The robust flavour of San Daniele® Speck – Smoked Prosciutto pairs perfectly with ripe tomatoes, fresh basil and creamy mozzarella to create this Caprese Open Faced Sandwich that is easy to make, and even easier to eat!



  1. Toast your bread
  2. Place 2 pieces of San Daniele Speck-Smoked Prosciutto, folded, onto the toasted bread
  3. Place tomato slices on top of your Speck-Smoked Prosciutto
  4. Top with Mozzarella
  5. Finish your open-faced sandwich with basil and a drizzle of balsamic vinegar
  6. Tip: If you prefer melted cheese, place the open faced sandwich under the broiler before adding basil and balsamic vinegar
