Open Faced Speck-Smoked Prosciutto Caprese Sandwich
The robust flavour of San Daniele® Speck – Smoked Prosciutto pairs perfectly with ripe tomatoes, fresh basil and creamy mozzarella to create this Caprese Open Faced Sandwich that is easy to make, and even easier to eat!
Ingredients
- 4 Slices of Bread
- 1 package San Daniele® Speck-Smoked Prosciutto
- 1 Tomato
- 1 ball of fresh mozzarella (sliced)
- 1 ½ tablespoons of basil (copped)
- Balsamic Vinegar (to taste)
Directions
- Toast your bread
- Place 2 pieces of San Daniele Speck-Smoked Prosciutto, folded, onto the toasted bread
- Place tomato slices on top of your Speck-Smoked Prosciutto
- Top with Mozzarella
- Finish your open-faced sandwich with basil and a drizzle of balsamic vinegar
- Tip: If you prefer melted cheese, place the open faced sandwich under the broiler before adding basil and balsamic vinegar
